Wisteria Arbour
Announcing the arrival of spring, one of the flagship plants of La Concepción shows all its
splendor.
The Glicinia (Wisteria sinensis (Sims) Sweet), is a vine of the family Fabaceae native to
China. The twelve feet planted by the Loring-Heredia family back in 1857 wraps itself around the
iron gazebo and even climbs the ficus and palm trees around to the height of 20m.
Its clusters of purple flowers and the soft aroma creates a special atmosphere.
It is a unique show that you can enjoy during approximately 15 days in late March or early
April.
